As an FYI, the Cylinder is McMaster #4208K102.

Shoot...you caught me. I'm actually a competitor trying to make WCP look bad so I get more business.

This was a request for help.

If you actually read the thread you'll find a few more people having issues. I suspect there are many more afraid to post here since CD is so quick to shame anyone who has negative experience and posts about it.

No actually I had shipping issues with WCP back in 2012 as well, but my emails always got a response so I'm legitimately asking if you included all pertinent information. I never said other people weren't having issues with WCP.

Also, if you enter your information in your CD profile, you can PM RC as well.

Adding your team info can also help others help you with parts you might need, that's why it is important to include.

You made that weird implicit connection yourself about being a competitor.

Now that we (finally) have all of those dog gears for the DS Flipped transmissions, when can we order more? What kind of time frame are we looking at? I didn't think we would have enough money this year to build a practice bot, so we only ordered 2, but that ended up not being the case. Unfortunately, we were not aware of this until after you put them "Out Of Stock". What parts are currently unavailable?

Also, we were able to get a local source/sponsor for the pancake cylinders, so we ordered them using the part number in your build instructions. When they came in, they were the square ones, which don't match the mounting holes in the plates--apparently, we need the round cylinders. Can you verify that the part number in the instructions is correct, and if not, could you change it for future users so we get the right cylinder?

BTW, the quality and construction are really top-notch!!

Hi Mike,
Check my post above (#136), it has all the part numbers needed for the correct cylinders, shaft screws and mounting screws.

We ran into this issue a week ago. RC gave us the corrected info. With overnight from McMaster we are all set now.
BTW, you are right about the build quality!

Any modification of pneumatic components is illegal. That includes any drilling of pre-existing holes on the cylinder.

It's not on the cylinder that we drilled and tapped, it's on a piece that two steps removed from the cylinder.

Many thanks, Mr. Bill! I didn't catch that detail about the cylinder part number in your previous post.

Re: WCP: 2017 Product Launch + MCC 2017

My team is using WCP Aluminum Roller Tube - 1.25" OD x 1.125" ID x 5' Length and WCP Roller Plug - 1/2" Hex w/ 5/16-18 Threaded Hole (WCP-0102) on our robot's mechanisms. However, we are having trouble fitting the roller plug into the aluminum roller tube. We've tried filing down the roller tube and widening the hole, but we still can't get the roller plug to fit in the tube.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We used a step drill to put a slightly wider opening on the edge, then a 1.125" Blair Rotobroach to get the hole to exactly the right size.
