I am reminded of the first year that team 254, The Cheesy Poofs (Broadway High School in San Jose) entered the competition. It never occured to them to make anything other than two robots. They bought two kits, entered twice and built two machines.
That year their two robots came in first and second at the west coast regionals, and they both made it to the final 16 at nationals. All this done by a team with about 12 students, one very energetic teacher, one insane engineer/mentor, and very little money. I wish we were all that good! -dave -------------------------------------------- - one of the ones your mother warned you about |
