Whatever happened to Buzz U? This was a web site which listed many college sponsored teams, team members who were attending colleges, contact information for most college sponsored teams.
You can also go to the map on FIRST's site and click on states to see which teams are available in that area. Most college sponsored teams will appear pretty obviously. Here's a short list of teams which I know are college sponsored or college run. 171: University of Wisconsin at Plattsville 190: Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) 229: Clarkson University 356: University of Arkansas at Little Rock Hendrix College 500: US Coast Guard (did they used to be a lower number team?) 677: Ohio State (did they used to be a lower number team?) 832, 1002, 1127: Georgia Tech 906: University of Missouri at Rolla I thought Virginia Tech had an active team, but couldn't find them on FIRST's site. I know there are dozens more teams with college sponsors. I don't know how active the college students are on the teams though. |
