The past two years have been like that.

I like the idea of slightly different scoring systems during qualification and elimination rounds. That way teams can design aggressively for the playoffs, like 25 this year and 365 last year, knowing that they will probably get picked and will then excel in the playoffs. Or, teams can design all-around point-scoring machines to rise to the top of the seedings, enabling them to pick whoever they want to be partners.

It certainly puts a premium on scouting, and results in more varied robot design.

I must say, everyone I talked to (at least before the elims, which I wasn't too happy about) had a wonderful time at PARC. We'll see if 487 can't make a comeback run at Ramp Riot...

Thanks to all teh teams, especially 222, for making this such a wonderful and joyous event!

PARC gaming

Thank you to teams 25 and 225 for being a part of Miss Daisy's alliance! I think that we had a great run and I know that it meant a lot to my team as well, especially the leaving seniors.

Congrats to team 1218 for doing as well as you did with only 2 (and a 1/2 i guess ) team members. I am sorry that I didn't pick you, don't be mad at me!

Sorry to teams 103 and 365, I know what it feels like when our robot is flipped, I hope that yours survived the flippage you endured.

Thanks again to everyone that made the day as spectacular as it was!

i must say that tunkhannok put on another great event and even though my team wasnt there i had an amazing time. I dont know if it was the awesome competition itself, the limbo competition turned gymnastics demonstration at the end, being adopted as a human player for a team, the overall positive atomostphere or what....

I would like to thank team 341 for bringing me with them

1218 forr adopting me as human player....it was so much fun

and our alliance partners 222 and 272...

and a special thanks to everyone there...it was a blast

Yea so.. I stole a broken bin from a room.. LOL.

Sorry MOE for the match in which we dented your robot, btw

Okay, at PARC... I was successfully human player in the practice round. Well, except for my team told me to not get off the field in 10 sec, and then I didnt know when to get off...

Oh yes, I definitly had fun being in MOE's mascot and walking around for awhile.. except when my team started to attack me when they saw me

There is 2 things i like about PARC each year and those things will never change. Each year i am still 3 + hrs away from my folks and most civilization. The second thing is Each year 30 of the most competitive teams sign up to be in PARC.

All I have to say is that the matches were cool and all the teams played competitively.

BTW - 222 If you guys find a set of Keys on your property like the field across from your gymnasium or anywhere in your gymnasium please let me know. i really can't describe the keys, just look for a 14B etched in one of them its a brass colored key. - contact me at dayrunner6969123@hotmail.com - thanks to 222 for holding the best non first sanctioned event again.

congrats to 341 25 and 225 strongest alliance all day.

also anyway take pictures of the life size moe stick and a life size human player stack of bins.

Yeah, great comp. I loved semifinal match 2 for our alliance ... comeback!

And boy were Greg and I confused in the stacking competition. We were supposed to stack while Brian kept track of the time. He knew it was a min but obviously didn't realize the clocks started at 1:45 and went to 0:45... so we had 5 and were going for 6 when the buzzer sounded, while MOE had 3 but had them released Ah well, I know who won deep down

Yea that 3 stac was a bit lame, We could have gone much much higer bu we took off the boxrighter that rights the bins so we can stack them and once that was off our driver had to get the bins in the right postition on his own. And i would also like to give code red congrats on being the first team to hit our bot that hard and leave a dent like they did. that was the first time that ever happend this year i think.

You could've saved yourself that dent if you had just dropped that stack like we wanted you too

Yup, PARC was a lot of fun and there were many interesting and competitive matches to view. It's good to see that many of the robots are still in prime condition (before PARC that is, lol)

Just remember to fix up your robot and keep it working for the Blitz! (more information to come on that still... yes, I'm aware that this is taking a while, info should be out soon. Date is Aug 16. Location: Boston).

Thank you for enabling me to have an excellent time as a ref, this was my first time reffing... but practice makes perfect. I realized that I really enjoy it so you just might see me in a striped shirt at a regional next year. You teams were great!

Customized ref shirts are the best!

222 once again put on a great event. Another great looking shirt to go in my collection. Great people, Great Times. My Favorite part was a MOEstick lightsaber duel with Big Mike. It was all going my way until he sliced off my hand. Someone on 87 got a video of it.

Our alliance partners 284 and 639 were great and made up for robot breaking so much. We made it all the way to the Finals to face 225, 25, 341. Our robot broke way too much. 2 bad Bosch (1 broke after we fixed the other) transmissions (1 broke after we fixed the other) meant we we running on 3 wheels almost every match. Thanks to 87 for all the help. Also our stacker motor started skipping chain links just in time for the stacker round. I admit the 3 stack was kinda pathetic. We got 6 during practice at Beech Street. I coached that round and with all the problems we were just happy to put down a stack. Also everyon got to see the return of Tippy the Wonder MOEbot (We havent tipped since Annapolis). We tipped backward once because we didnt deploy the wheelie bars. We tipped sideways once which has never happened before.

Well, we have plenty of time to fix the bot before the next round of off season competitions. Hope to see you all at the Duel on the Delaware.
