ok its 1:10 am NY time and i jus had a really random thought,

ok just out of curiosity how many people in First have a
a) girlfriend/boyfriend on another team
b) how did u meet them
c) how often do u see each other

I was dating a guy from the Technokats (from last August until late February) but, being 6 hours apart, the distance thing just didn't work out for us. :-\ I met him at the 2002 Motorola Midwest Regional and we became really good friends right after that. During the time we were dating, we saw each other about once a month. Like I said, the distance thing was really hard, and even though we're not together anymore, we're still good friends.

Ricky Q. and I met at the Indiana Robotics competition last August. He was already pretty good friends with my best friend. She introduced us, the competition ended but the interest remained. After about two weeks we finally got things worked out and decided that we could try a stab at a long-distance relationship. We've been dating for 9 months now. He lives about 100 miles away. We work the same weekend so we see each other about 3 times a month- unless it's FIRST month(April) We value the time we have together and try not to get stuck on the distance factor. We just had our prom 2 weeks ago

Writer's note: I would recommend this type of relationship for a First-Girl who is way to busy for a guy who lives in her general vicinity.

a) i'm in California and my boyfriend is in Michigan (team 247)... (it's hard to get any more long distance than that), but yeah...

b) we actually met one day through Chief Delphi (go figure!!)

c) because of the distance we pretty much never get to see each other, but we'll be together at IRI this summer and hopefully this christmas (i'm keeping my fingers crossed )

gahhhh!!!!! THE ONLY THING THAT SUCKS ABOUT FIRST is: DISTANCE AND ANY TYPE OF RELATIONSHIP!!!!!!

a) i'm in hammond, indiana... boyfriend is jim from ft. lauderdale, florida.... major distance there!

b) we actually started talking through CD but i yelled at him when he was doing SOAP last year at nationals because i was a scouter and that is noooooo fun at all.

c)we see each other at competitions, but we talk like...... all the time!! if you're in a long distance relationship i highly reccomend a good cell phone plan so you can talk and lots of internet time.... jim and i talk every day for about 3 hours on average, but usually a lot more. our 3 months is june 15!

a) Yep, Distance is major major big...somewhere around 1300 miles.

b) Yes, we love chiefdelphi.com forever now, lol.

c) At&t wireless has a special promotional plan on right now that includes free night and weekends + free long distance. This means that from 9pm friday till 6am monday, I can call from 1300 miles away and hear my baby! YAY! Go three months!

Yeah...but those of you sitting there wondering "what's wrong with you people and this distance thing?". She is beyond worth it in every way! This summer she's going to Germany for 7 weeks, and is going to be allowed to e-mail me but once a week. I will look foreward to that e-mail every week like you wouldnt believe!
