SUPER IMPORTANT GEAR ISSUE

ok so we have given up on Small Parts for the stuff we order and figure that we will have it for next year. So now the question is where to get gears from. WE are looking for chain gears and some place that we can order them and get them like yesterday. So if anyone knows anywhere that has this stuff please help us out. Thanks in advance

About sources for gears...

About sources for gears:
There are a lot of online places you where can buy gears/sprockets… Here are some suggestions from different people:
“A few good small components sources:
www.wmberg.com
www.allieddevices.com” - Keithicus
“mcmaster.com and stock drive products (sdp-si.com) are good sources. Also, motion industries is a good source.” -Joe J.
http://www.globalspec.com
You can search across the industry for the part you want. It is particularly useful for gears and sprockets.” -ChrisH
“We found a company called Motion Industries that carried the identical part. Turns out they have about 500 outlets around the country (check their locator at http://www.motionindustries.com/ ).” -dlavery

McMaster is where we got all of our gears, while a little pricey we have no other complaints

Gear Issue

We used Martin Gears. We contacted them (from info we got on the internet) and they put us in touch with someone locally that sold their gears. Those folks gave us a discount!! We even got them the day after we ordered them. Now if we could just find the flange bearings that we need...

We got our flange bearings from a canadian manufacturer called "Lou's Bearings" beleive it or not they rock.

Fantastic product, great service. Which is good cause those pillow block ones in the kit suck.

For hard-to find sprockets and chains (especially heavy-duty #25 ones), as well as everything drive related from gears and bearings to pullys and shafts, try SDP-SI. They claim to have the largest catalogue of drive components anywhere.

"Kit pillow blocks suck?" Why?

We are a rookie team and we just bought 6 of the kit pillow blocks. What is the problem with them?

Precision Bearings & Supply Co 2635 Fairfax Ave Culver City, CA (323) 870-5758

They have a huge selection and if they dont have the part they will get it to you the next day. We got the part the next day we ordered it because they were out of the part.
