I'll expand on that just a bit..
Flexibility is the key word you've got to run through your head a few times while designing the base system. You have to think about not only how the game may change from Jan->April, but how the game could change from this year -> 2 years from now. If you are planning on keeping any historical data, you will want to be able to either expand/change the game requirements without having to start new databases or totally re-design it every year and then convert tons of old data -> new data. Just something to think about. |
