There's no veriety, all the bots use pretty much the exact same.
Not to be argumentitive, but isn't this an *exact* description of FIRST? I mean to a layperson, there is a heck of a lot more variety in BB than FIRST. I don't think this is a very important aspect and I suspect it's not the real reason you dislike Battlebots. There are so many other parts that even I don't like, but variety is not a big issue yet.
