Robotics AOL!!

So, when calling aol to cancel my account, i somehow got into a 45 minute conversation with the aol guy about robotics, and somehow ended up with 3 free months of aol!!! Awesome!

LOL, so was the 3 months free because of the robotics... or because they use that kind of tactic to keep customers?

I haven't randomly met enough people who know about robotics... unless I count CD as a random occurence... hehe

Comon - you know it is. When we called AOL and told them we are leaving (After 5+ years with them) they wouldn't stop bugging us with all these free offers.

Just dump AOL and get broadband!!

why anyone would want to use AOL in the first place is beyond me...

if you ask me, those free discs make good hunting frisbees, i've done some damage throwing them at friends . apart from random acts of destruction though, never had a good use for them.

I play a game with AOL CDs... see how fast they can go from the mailbox to the trash can. Man, I miss the AOL diskettes. When they changed to CD, I lost my free supply of floppy disks

I'm remembering AOL disk frisbees in Kansas City last year.....

They usually only give me one free month at a time...and I only use aol because they're giving it to me for free....once they pull the plug on my free service, i'll switch to msn for awhile...they use the same tactic.

I use AOl.. I hate it. I was at my church the other day going through some stuff and came across a vintage AOL v1.1 floppy disk still in its package unopened.
I've heard about Aol giving people free service just to keep them. My friend does it all the time. Their free service expires so they call to cancel and gets more free time.

i used AOL maybe once at a friend's house, hated it, never used it at home.

i used windows for the longest time, and got sick of all the garbage i had to put up with, and switched to linux.

i don't know what you guys do when you don't like something, but generally, i stop using it

I used AOL for about a year and a half, back in 1995 or so. When I got my new Gateway PC, I got a better deal on internet access, so I dumped AOL immediately. Back then, I was running AOL 2.5, and now they're on 8 or 9 or something.

I run linux on 2 servers(gaming servers) i run from my house and i have one xp proffesional server that i use for my own personal server but i mean shure there are exceptions but most people still use windows i mean if we where still talking about 95/98 hear where the core of windows is running still in MDOS i would be in total linux to but now since they made nt and xp so stable i like ti for my network and XP proffesional is great for networking and runnign servers I have ghost at my house so i change between os everyday Agreat new server OS is Windows 2003. If you havent heard of it its now just for servers but it will be consumer use very soon.
