Thanks Team 103

I would like to thank Team 103~The CyberSonics for a wonderful presentation last night about their team structure and such. Though I am sad to say not many of my teammates showed up I know the ones who did were very glad that they were able to make it and talk to you. The presentation was very informative and you were all very nice. I am glad to have met you all. I hope to see and talk to you at Nationals next year! If any of you would like to keep in touch my AIM screenname is NHSmiley feel free to IM me! ~Anne from Team 166

I didn't know there WAS a presentation (due to distance probably) and am interested to hear what they said. Any information on it would be gladly accepted...

Thank you for the welcome and for being such a great audience as we presented on the 23rd. It is always fun to have time to mingle with people from other teams in a non-competitive venue where we aren't all running around looking for spare parts, or in my case, being interviewed and marketing the team. It is a shame that we couldn't also see presentations from your teams, but then again, this is just the beginning of a partnership that is sure to grow with time. I wish you all the best of luck and lots of fun in the coming years with FIRST, and I encourage you all to try for Rensselaer. (That is where I am going to school next year, and we need as many FIRST people as possible.)

It was our pleasure to present and share ideas with other FIRST teams. I enjoyed meeting some of you personally afterward and finding out many interesting and helpful tips. The occasion was certainly a highlight of my trip. Thank you for being such good hosts and hostesses.

Our student team leaders and faculty advisors presented the "Cybersonics story" and fielded many great questions from the audience. Much of this is in our Chairman's Award submission which you can download here and on the FIRST Rural Support site.

There was some discussion about fund raising and sponsorship and how, as a rural team, we meet these challenges. We also talked about the fantastic support we receive from our school district and the staff of Palisades High School - one of the secrets to our success.

I'm sure Brandon and the other team leaders would be happy to answer any questions you have (right guys?).

I would like to take this opportunity to thank BAE for hosting the event, and the great people from FIRST and teams 151 and 166 who came out and shared the evening with us. I particularly enjoyed talking with other mentors and BAE's student interns. I'm looking forward to seeing you again in 2004!
