Michael Marshall Smith (Great author, every single on eof his books are good)

Chuck Palahniuk (Author of Fight Club, he writes some of the most screwed up things)

WILLIAM GIBSON (Anyone who ever liked cyber-punk should know this name)

First of all, there are too many choices in ALL of these categories... but here's a shot...

1) Chinese, Thai, German, Italian, American (burgers, steaks, fried chicken, whatever)
2) The Simpsons, NewsRadio, Star Trek: TNG

I like Henry M. Gunn High School's Robotics team.

7) I liked the Nonnebots #38's robot last year. It was sooo sexy!
Other robot - The robot from the lost in space series and not the crappy movie either, the original B&W Tv show

Also the "Left Behind" Series- very interesting and now a comic book!
