3dsmax 6 isn't worth it I know I wouldn't pay to upgrade ! If they actually included hair or something that would be impressive. And whats up with the hype about releasing DEEP paint engine then say "it didn't work out!" This should be v 5.5!!! lets take a look at what they give you: Metaballs: This should have been included many versions ago and there are several plugins for this since v 2! Mental ray renderer: Wow they included a plugin (to export the mental ray libs) Rag Doll dynamics: I guess this is pretty good Vertex paint: woowwww theres not much use to this one expect maybe game dev HDRI support: Theres a free importer for this Render to texture: This is nice but not really worth it Most of the other new features are really small ! theres nothing so great about v.6 Don't believe me? go to cgtalk.com and read what the proffesionals say (it's in the 3dsmax forum) ![]() Last edited by Salik Syed : 01-09-2003 at 20:40. |
