2003 Finals Video and 2004 Request

All-

We listened to your numerous requests and, despite the less than desired quality, have uploaded movies from the 2003 National Championship. Among the highlights please find the National Finals, a tribute to the Space Shuttle Columbia Crew, The Chairman’s Award Winner, the Trumpeted National Anthem, and the closing ceremony including the Wrap-Up Video and Fireworks spectacular.

There are still 3 regionals from 2003 left un-digitized- West Michigan, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis. We thank teams 74 and 45 for the footage.

The SOAP Team encourages more teams to learn how to digitize video and help us capture additional 2004 FIRST Regionals. The regionals of greatest interest to us are the New Jersey, UTC, Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, Arizona, Colorado, Buckeye, and Sacramento events. Of course, the other regionals would be welcomed too. We have commitments for Midwest, Florida, and Great Lakes.

The requirements are simple: one laptop with 128MB Ram, USB, and Microphone port. We provide the software, video capture device, and user guide, plus handle some logistics with FIRST. You click record then FTP the encoded files, or burn a CD and mail it. PM soap108 if you are serious in supporting this effort.

It's great that you guys do this for everyone and I extend my thanks to everyone who helps capture and maintain the content.
