No, I actually mean it this time. I hope nobody is stupid enough to stick around in a storm like that. Last time a hurricane hit RI (Bob in '91), I was camping in NH. And it was probably better I was. While the house was fine (a few veggies thrown about and a window shattered), anything directly on the ocean in Newport was totally destroyed. It took them a year just to rebuild the beach. Although had it not veered off at the last minute, it would've been more like the one in 1938, with total winds at about 200 MPH hitting Newport and the bay, and having the snow-plow effect causing major flooding. At least the people in the Carolinas don't have to worry about getting the nasty right side of the hurricane.
