2003 EIC/EMCW Expo in Indianapolis

September 23-25, Indianapolis will be hosting the 2003 EIC/EMCW Expo at the Indiana Convention Center/ RCA Dome. The EIC/EMCW Expo is the international event for manufacturers of electrical products and components. There is no other event in the world that offers the breadth of exhibits and educational opportunities for the design and manufacture of electrical products and components. Every year they award a Golden Omega Award Winner. The Golden Omega Award is presented biennially to an outstanding individual of science, engineering, education or industry who has made significant contributions to technological advancement. Past Golden Omega Award winners have included:

David Packard, co-founder of Hewlett-Packard
William P. Lear, developer of the Lear jet
Robert W. Galvin, Chairman and CEO of Motorola
J.T. Battenberg III, Chairman, CEO and President Delphi Corp.
Dr. Edwin H. Land of the Polaroid Corp.
Admiral Hyman G. Rickover, U.S. Navy.

The 2003 Golden Omega award winner is none other than our very own Dean Kamen. Dean will be arriving on his private jet Wednesday around noon, then traveling over to the Indiana Convention center. There he will be riding his Segway and visiting the exhibitors until the dinner and award presentation from 6-8 pm.

If anybody will be in the Indianapolis area on Wednesday September 24th, I would encourage you to check out the conference.
