Promotional Videos

Hey, my team is putting together a promotional video for getting sponsor's and new recruits interested in FIRST. The only problem is we can't find any good competition film. ( Ie Nationals or any regionals ) Nor do we really know where to start with it. I was wondering if any teams out there have 1) any good film or crowd reactions or anything that they would be willing to share.. maybe even a pre-made promotional style video for first. Or 2) If any teams have a video that we could just pull ideas on how to organize a promotional video.

I know that FIRST had a video that they have sent out in the past, because I've seen it. My team was not able to obtain a copy of it. We are just looking for something simple to describe what FIRST is, it doesn't even really have to portain to our own team. We have called and emailed FIRST many times but to no avail. If anyone can offer any help or support it would be greatly appreciated.

This may seem obvious, but did you check out soap108's website?

yes 108 has exactly what we need.. but no way to get it.

Their video is captured strangely ( it is saved as a media player playlist ) and when I contacted a few members of their team that I know they said they had no way to help me.

Only way to even semi manage is it with video capture, is slow and not very effective... and resolution is very low.

If there was a way to get 108's footage that would be a blessing, and I would love to know who to contact.

Hmm, media player playlist? It still has to be saved as some type of file. You should be able to convert it to a DV format, and then to a VHS tape iff the right equiptment is available.
