The Ball Launcher and SubBot

I have been asked to clarify the rules and procedures regarding the ball launcher and the SubBot.
We purposely have not released any drawings of the launcher: we do not want you to know how it will work. All we will say is that it will launch the 26" green ball out into the middle of the field somewhere; it is our intent to make it land in a widely scattered area with a somewhat random pattern. You'll all just have to wait until Oct. 25th to find out more.
We are using the same SubBot as last year except the robot is being lightened up a bit and will have slicker wheels, so it won't be able to push as well. (Last year's Bot was one of the best pushers in the league: we won't have that again!) We hope to give it a mechanism that will be able to hold a few balls and carry a goal, but that is all.
