Currently, we have one of the students on our team designing logos for us and we'll get around to choosing one eventually. We also are thinking of holding a bit of a logo contest within the school so we involve the school a little bit and they'll get some sort of prize for their drawing. It is a good way to spread the name of your team within your school and we're sure we will get some great designs.

I agree with the others. Just sit down and start making random things, anything at all. Take the image and distort, remove, add, use effects to it.

When I do this after a few minutes of tampering you get inspired to continue with an idea. Its very easy.

Heres my teams newly created logo, by me and a combination of other ideas and images.

What do you guys think, honestly?

I'm a fan of just playing with photoshop, illustrator or one of my favorite macromedia programs to make graphics. However, a good place to go is any web dev company. Team 1020 got their logo donated along with the web page from Spinweb.com. Most web dev places do a lot of graphics and logos. You might be able to find a place that will do it for free. Just remember that professionally built pages don't count for the web design contest!

hehe.

Well we wanted to start our team with a fresh new name. So a student came up with the idea: Archangels. Seeing that St. Michael (our patron saint, St. Michael's College School) is the prince of all archangels it would only make sense ;-)

Yeh so thats basically the history of our team name. Last year was rushed (rookie year), we came up with Roboblue Warriors very quickly just to put a name down.

Nice logo. :thumb: I like it just as it is, no sunglasses, no beard, no excess junk. Personally, I like to start out with a real sketchpad and pen when I design anything, but that's me. Well, unless it's an animated gif, such as the one to the left. That one started out with the real deal 2002 WCTS Knights robot, the "Box o' Doom" sittin around and playin with a 1986 Etch-A-Sketch Animator. That was our animation for 2002, displayed at the pit for a while. We might have a real animation entry this year, if we can acquire the necessary funds to participate.
