Revisit: No. of Inventor Licenses - Great FREE alternative!

OK ... let's try this again ...

I had asked if anyone knew if we were actually limited to one free/donated Inventor license per team. As an engineer who has worked on many different CAD systems over the past 20 years, I can't imagine that anyone could realistically expect any team to get the required work done (including animation) with only one available license. My original post on this subject is HERE. The reason I am asking this question is that I had heard that you can actually register as many (within reason) Inventor licenses as you want - all you do is call Autodesk for a registration "key" for each copy you want to activate. They are actually giving you multiple licenses - which makes complete sense to me, both from a project/work management perspective, AND from the company perspective that they will have additional experienced users out in the marketplace who are familiar with the capabilities of their software.

IF this is NOT the case, then I know of a fantastic FREE alternative that is available to anyone. I also previously posted information about a "lite" version of Pro/ENGINEER called Pro/DESKTOP. There is actually a FREE version of the desktop product called express wich anyone can download - details about 8 messages from the top in this thread.

I would very much like to know how other teams are handling the one license limit, how you are getting around it, and/or what you are doing for alternatives. Feel free to email me privately if you prefer.

Thanks -
