Lightbulb NHL using FIRST Ideas

Well, for those teams that have developed software for scouting purposes, here's a look at what the professional scouts in the NHL use:

Computers for scouting isn't a new thing. The Dallas Cowboys have used them since the 60's. There is a little bit of detail in this article from nfl.com: http://ww2.nfl.com/coachesclub/computers1.html and a lot more detail in Tom Landry's autobiography.

His autobiography goes into quite a bit of detail about how they set up the system. When they started, no one had done anything like it before. They had to figure out an objective rating system, and figure out an easy way to enter and access data. It's very much like what the FSN is doing now.
