Springs, Bungee cords...etc.

For the last two years we have allowed springs, bungee cords...etc. in OCCRA. We originally put it in an update 2 years ago and, although we've mentioned it at workshops, it has never made it into the template that the rules are drawn from. Springs do not appear on the additional materials list again! Last year, we added it after somebody asked a question. So, for the second year in a row, somebody has pointed out that springs and bungees got left out. Several teams have reported that they have been using springs in their design, assuming that they were still a part of the allowed list. The Rules Committe is being polled now to see if they will be added again this year. Stay tuned to this thread: Mike Martus will give the ruling soon. I want to apologize in advance to any team that gets ganked by the ruling (as I'm sure somebody will).
