Again... I am REALLY impressed with the things you do with legos. Keep it up! I wish I had more HS students on my team as enthusiastic about design as you are.

The coax-swerve is a concept I've put a lot of thought into. It's cool to see your take on it. You're inspiring others!

I wish i could be on more than one team
but more than one of me apparently scares people for some reason

its not much patience for me i build realy fast by the time you read this that machine will probly be torn apart and reconfigured with 2-speed gearboxes

What do you use to plan these things out?

It can't be just coming to your head and building as you go. I've never seen something that complex that works with a "happy-go-lucky" mechanics.

LegoCAD? Paper/Pencil?

With legos.... its all in the mind. But I'm pretty sure with more complex stuff you would want to use paper or something to at least do a rough sketch? However, philosophically speeking... it all goes back to the mind.....

Tytus, you remind me of one of my fellow TechnoKat engineers: Mark Koors.

Mark can build a complete robot without any prints. He did that with the "ball drive" robot on our team last year. He is quite amazing. Mark has a double major from GMI in EE and ME, and he has lots of patents for Delphi.

Good adaptation.
Good to see that the design works on the FIRST Lego League Challenge board.

I saw this design a few weeks ago at the Lego Store in Minneapolis. Other than having to buy all the turntables from pitsco, it sure looks fun!
