The EduBot kits comes with a licensed version of the compiler on CD. You cannot download it.

I forgot to mention that you can get a 60 day demo of C18 from Microchip's web site. Its the same as the C-Bot compiler except it comes with the library source for all of the devices instead of just the 18F8520.

You can actually download the compiler, just not the proper libraries...so you would be able to get familiar with the IDE, just not be able to compile to the proper HEX file to load on the controller.

Look in my '2004 Programming Quick Reference' in the White Papers for a link to that download.
