NU job offer! (Partially... get paid to do FIRST!)

If you know ANYBODY who might fill this description, and would enjoy a job opportunity like this: let them know! (Mentors, retired teachers, neighbors... anyone with FIRST experience is also plus!)

Heck, if I were out of school... I'd love to take it. But to the person who is hired, you'll be working closely with me (is that a good or bad thing? )

But seriously, let your friends know. Thanks!

That would be a fun job. If I did not have kids and if my wife wanted to live in Boston... I would love to do it.

This job is...
1/3 engineering instructor
1/3 mentor
1/3 recruiter

You would never be off the clock, but it would be a thrill.

I hope NU finds the right person.

I like that part because it's honest and yet unless they have been in FIRST before...they are in for a surprise!

I'll take the job and forget college if you take care of my student loans...

I just spoke with Richard Scranton on the subject of salary (we are aware that it isn't posted in the Job description). Because this is a BRAND NEW position, they don't have the option to gauge the pay-scale based on a previous person who may have filled it in the past.

Also, in his opinion... they want to attract somebody who fits the criteria and really wants to teach. Not somebody who is only in it for the money. Pay will be negotiated based on the applicant's experience and abilities.

Because this is a full time job... I wouldn't be worried about not having enough $ to put food on the table. Actually, it'll probably be more than enough to sustain a comfortable life-style in Boston.

Ads for this position will be in Boston newspapers this weekend under "Education."

Yup, NU consulted and copied WPI's position, currently filled by Ken Stafford (you guys came up with the good ideas first)

That sounds really cool. I meet all of the requirements except the Autocad part. Oh well. I also don't know if my wife would be too thrilled about moving to Boston.

Good luck in your search.
