Here is a summary report of the Saturday WRRF Workshops @ San Jose

Date: Saturday November 22nd, 2003 9am-4pm
Location: San Jose State University (IS building)

Classes Offered

How to Run a Team
Motors/DriveTrain
Pneumatics
Animation
Lego League - Reffing and Judging
Electronics

All classes are ALL-DAY workshops.

The registration will be held in room IS216. (this is on the second floor of the IS building, up the stairs and down the hall going north)

REGISTRATION STARTS AT 9:00am

note: There will be no pre-registration this time around. All classes will be done on a first come-first serve basis at the registration desk. You will sign up for classes when you walk in. We expect some classes to FILL OUT so to make sure you get a seat please be there early.

During the Lunch break (at noon-1pm), there will be a robot showcase in the lunch area. Some veteran teams in the area will be bringing their FIRST competition robots and have people to answer questions about their robots.

We will be offering a Pizza Lunch. If you would like to order lunch through us make sure you do so immediately after you register for your classes. We will not be buying extra pizza for those who did not pre-order.

The Pizza Lunch will be 4$ and includes a slice of cheese pepperoni or combo pizza, can of soda or water, and a dessert. A la Carte items are also available.

From Highway 101 in either direction:

Highway 101 to the Highway 280 north interchange Highway 280 to Seventh Street exit north, make a right turn; cross San Salvador and left into Seventh Street Garage ($6 exact change required for a day permit).

From Highway 280 in either direction:

Highway 280 to Seventh Street exit north (left turn coming from north, right turn coming from south); cross San Salvador and left into Seventh Street Garage ($6 exact change required for a day permit).

From Highway 680:

Highway 680 south to Highway 280 north; Highway 280 to Seventh Street exit north, make a right turn; cross San Salvador and left into Seventh Street Garage ($6 exact change required for a day permit).

From Highway 880/17 in either direction:

Highway 880/17 to Highway 280 South interchange; Highway 280 south to Seventh Street exit north, make a left turn; cross San Salvador and left into Seventh Street Garage ($6 exact change required for a day permit).

PARKING:

You may opt to park in the 7th street parking Garage, (6$ for a day pass) or to find street parking/public parking around the campus.

NOTE: Please obey all parking regulations. Even if you are having a hard time finding a permit machine, they may still ticket you if you do not have the day pass in your front windshield. The WRRF cannot be responsible if you get a parking ticket or get towed.

There will be signage directing you to the workshops from the bottom of the 7th street garage.

If you are coming from elsewhere, follow the map to where the WRRF Workshops location is circled and there will be signage directing you to the registration area.
