banner sensors

can you hook the banner sensors to the edubot? I am assuming they need their own power, so how would you do that?

New edubot board, or the legacy? We're using the legacy and two banner sensors, I'd post pics or a wiring diagram if thats what you need.

Ahh, sorry, can't help you there, we're still learning that. If no one else replies, I'll get some pics of the wiring tomorrow at school anyway, it would probably still be useful.

Yes, you can. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how yet because I haven't looked at it in great detail. I'll post back here once I figure it out. FIRST should be posting some info on how to do it in their new edubot page at:

http://www.rec.ri.cmu.edu/education/...tent/index.htm

in a while.

edit: ok, they've got videos of the edu using some of the sensors...cool. They're using digital light sensors, which work fairly similar to the Banners. I'm planning on rummaging around for our extra banner tomorrow to check it out.

Sorry for the delay, I had to stay after school a little bit today. Well, I need to recheck my pictures, but from what I remember black and white wires go to the sw and blue goes to red and brown goes to black on a 9V.
