TEAM TIP: Holiday Food Drive!

Here is a "Team TIP" I posted on nycfirst.poly.edu that I want to shared with my CD friends:

Holiday Food Drive!
Yes, start a food drive for YOUR FIRST team!
Make a flyer and give them to the parents for food and drink donations.

People are more giving when it come to food & drinks (instead of money). Before the "6 week of madness", start collecting the snacks, cookies, drinks, etc. that your team will need for those long hours after school and weekends in the workshops.

*Also ask for old coffee machines too (Great for coffee, tea and hot water for those Cup-of-Soup I love).

And someone always have an old microwave/ toaster oven that they want to replace but still works.

BJs and Costco are great for food in massive quantities.

Try not to sample everything.... and lock it up good!(large mice problems....)
