Grasshopper '98, '99

Hey All,
I was recently reading this thread:
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...threadid=15084

(It's a nice boring weekend before Thanksgiving break)

Everyone mentions the 1998, and 1999 robots from team 95 (Lebanon Grasshoppers), but I've never actually seen any pictures of them.

So... who's got them?

Pics in action, or in the stillness... I'll take anything.

Thanks,

John

Here are some cool pics from Cyber Blue's first season, 1999. Oh the fun times

You might have a hard time finding those pictures. The robots were built before the days of digital cameras, so all the pictures are all analog, and I don't think anyone scanned them. If you really want the pictures, you could go to our email links and email Dolly Currier. She might know where to find some.

Analog photos. Heh.

Nice one John.

Also to note, both those 'bots have long since been disassembled. I am not even sure if any subcomponents are together. So, if you get curious about how something worked, you'll have some trouble finding out to much about it.

I know that Dodd Stacey doesn't show up on these forums much at all anymore. He would be the best person to talk to if you want a real good description of them.

I know of one subassembly that survived: Mac's wheels. They are much too beautiful to destroy. They're built so that they'll get good traction on one axis, but almost no friction on another axis. They were great for crabbing.
