Here are the point fomulas: (numbers subject to change)
Admins (maybe mods, not sure) give 3 points.
For every 100 number of days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
For every 500 number of posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
For every 100 points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
User must have 50 posts before his reputation hits count on others.
User can give 47 reputation clicks over each 24 hour period.
User must give reputation to 15 people before they can hit the same person again.

So is that every 100 days registered, you get 1 point to hand out? Or you are handing out 2 points after 200 days? If so is this retroactive? So for example, I joined in Sep 2001, 800ish days ago, and have 700 odd posts. Would that mean I have 9 points to hand out, or that each thumbs up I give is weighted to 9?
Perhaps I will attempt to browse the vB site again and figure it out. (thems confuuusing)

"Whenever someone rates a post either x reputations points is subtracted or added to the reputation total. That x is called reputation altering power. So when a 2 year old member rates someone it has more influecne then a new user rating the same post."
