Right now I am running at 1280x960 but that is becaue my ATI Radion 9800 was acting wierd and for some reason picked that one on its own. I normally run at 1152x864 for the desktop but I max it out for games.

Re: What resolution do you use on your monitor?

1280 X 1024 on a 17"

I used to shy away from this high a resolution because it made the text really hard to read (really small). However, I really wanted the increased space it gave. What I found to be useful is to use Windows' Appearance settings to increase the font sizes a notch. This way, the fonts are bigger (and about the equivalent real-size of 1024x768) but you still get the benefits of a larger resolution. Only problem is a few thingswon't change font sizes. Outlook, for example, is still going to remain really small. Word too, but thats fixed by zooming in to about 120%. All you 1024x768 people - try it this out for a day or two... I think you'll like it.

I occasionaly use 2048x1536 and my second monitor at 1280x768. It's kinda hard to look at, but I only use it while I'm coding or somthing. I keep it at 1600x1200 with my second monitor off most of the time.

I am partially blind and use a resolution that makes everything larger. I have a 19 inch monitor.
