Unhappy quatro OI for edubot problems

Anyone having problems getting the quatro OI to work with the edubot? The indicator lights say there is no receiver signal, and JR who makes the quatro says there is no diagnostic available. Of course, we didn't get the one with the servo, so now we have to go buy a servo to see if the receiver is the problem. If so, we have to send it back and waste another precious week. What a hassel! Any suggestions?

Do you have access to an oscilliscope(sp?) or frequency counter?

There have been servos included in the robot kit for the past 4 years that i know of, you could use one of those. Dont forget to be a bit resourceful with your school system, check around and see if your vocational school has an electronics shop, or a computer shop may evean have a scope. Failing that, ask a few ppl at your local community college, ours is always willing and ready to help out however they can.
