Lightbulb South Dakota FIRST

Hello South Dakota FIRST teams, sponsors and supporters,

This forum is designed to allow SD FIRST teams to share ideas, concerns and resources during the upcoming FIRST competition. Some teams are well established, organized and ready for the season. Other teams are still working the kinks out and getting ready to begin the process. Wherever you are and whatever your status is let's work together to make the 2004 FIRST season the best ever for SD teams.

Any ideas you have are welcome here!

Thats awesome to see that you guys are starting a SD FIRST. Its gooing to take a lot of work, but it's fun and it will pay off. if you need anything feel free to contact myself or any other reps from IndianaFIRST and we'd be more than glad to help you with your needs. You can check out our website at http://www.indianafirst.org for info. There isnt much, if any, info on the site now about our new vision of IndianaFIRST, but we hope to get it up before the kickoff time.

Re: South Dakota FIRST

The SDSU FIRST teams are working away. Some teams have robots moving around, others are still designing. What about the SD School of Mines teams? The Augustana-O'Gorman team is making progress with its new Main Contact Judy. The SDSU FIRST information is at:SDSU FIRST Webpage
A new development for the Feb 7th workshop:
1. The Energy Lab is available for the team workshop by invitation of Dr. Steven Hietpas.
2. Do the teams want to attend a Team Social? We still have the Volstorff Ballroom scheduled in the SDSU Student Union.
3. Any team supporters are invited to help staff the Feb 21st Invitational. Referee training, scorekeeping, robot inspection, and field construction are all important too.
4. Sign up on the SDSU FIRST Current Events page!

1. Great! Will the teams have access to machine tools?
2. Sounds great! I'll let the team know tomorrow at our regular noon meeting.
3. We have built a practice goal but it will not have the diamond plate on it. If you'd like us to bring that I'll have it ready by then.

Looking forward to seeing all the SD and ND teams that come on the 7th!
