Re: What resolution do you use on your monitor?
1280 X 1024 on a 17"
I used to shy away from this high a resolution because it made the text really hard to read (really small). However, I really wanted the increased space it gave. What I found to be useful is to use Windows' Appearance settings to increase the font sizes a notch. This way, the fonts are bigger (and about the equivalent real-size of 1024x768) but you still get the benefits of a larger resolution. Only problem is a few thingswon't change font sizes. Outlook, for example, is still going to remain really small. Word too, but thats fixed by zooming in to about 120%. All you 1024x768 people - try it this out for a day or two... I think you'll like it. Last edited by DanL : 04-12-2003 at 22:38. Reason: grammar checking |
