Frank(Aflak) is on a distinguished road
looking for voltage and current gauges . .

not multimeter, I want to build an analog, needle type gauge into a cart we are building. Where can I find a gauge I can put into a peice of wood and connect to an electrical system?

Didn't see one on mcmaster, didn't see one at radioshack,

I found some voltage gauges for automobiles that will do 7-18V, which is perfect, but they are a tad bit price (i could buy a cheap analog multimeter for 15.00 and just install that . . but I don't want to.)

Any ideas?

First, i would check the chepo surplus type places. try:
http://www.allelectronics.com
http://www.bgmicro.com
if you can't find somehting there then try places like:
http://www.digi-key.com
http://www.mouser.com
http://www.newark.com
http://www.grainger.com

there is a good possibility that automotive stores may have what you are looking for.

---------------------------- Edit ----------------------------
after a few mins of looking i found exactly what you need:
http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bi...385&type=store
