Go to Post Most of all, I long to give others a chance to experience what I did with FIRST, to give people from my home town that opportunity, because FIRST really is that once in a lifetime opportunity that so many people dont get a chance to be a part of. It shouldnt be that way. - Jacqui Sutton [more]

Re: Inventor part -> 3ds max?

The way I've done it (using 3ds max 5-dont know if its been updated in the new version) is saving the inventor part as an .stl file (I think). In 3ds max, go to file-> import, changing file type at the bottom to .stl files. You can get inventor files into 3ds max that way, but I don't think if you can edit the parts once you import them (I might be wrong-I haven't found a way to edit imported files).
