Team 116 and 716 White papers

Does anyone here happen to have a copy of either Team 116's or Team 716's whitepapers for their 2 speed transmissions? The white papers arent back up right now and I'd really like a copy as soon as possible. I seem to have deleted mine. Oh, before you tell me to PM someone from those teams, I figure some of you are bound to have it, and I might be able to get it long before I get a response from a team member.

Thanks in advance,

Cory

Hi Cory,
I have the latest 116 paper (August 03), but it is 10+ Mb. I can email it to you (broken into three parts if necessary) if you like. Contact me off list with your email address.

Re: Team 116 and 716 White papers

There is an updated version of the Team 116 dual-motor, dual-speed gearbox design white paper that corrects the problem with some of the drawings not displaying properly with some versions of MS Word. The submission section for the White Papers section is not yet working, so in the mean time you can download it from the Team 116 web site at http://www.team116.org/2004/Transmis...riptionV6a.zip. The file is about 1.1meg, and all the detail drawings have been broken out as .pdf files.

To anyone that is building this transmission, please note: there was a typo in the earlier version of the white paper. Part #10, "Torque Gear A" should be a 15-tooth gear (Small Parts part #B-GSS-2015). It is incorrectly listed as a 14-tooth gear. Please correct it if you have downloaded the old version of the white paper. It is corrected in this version (thanks to Stu Bloom/Team 1018 for spotting this!).

Re: Team 116 and 716 White papers

I had sent Team 716's white paper to Cory not to long after he requested it. I want to report an error in the shifting plate that he found when he modeled the shifter. The correct center distance should be 2.098 not 2.104. It is not much but it will cause a bind. ____Thanks Cory!!_____

On the debate of the 55 tooth vs 56 tooth match for the drill motor..... We use the 56 tooth, however it took three and a half weeks to receive them this past summer. Luckily, for this season, I had bought extras!
