Go to Post I don't think it's that big of a deal if FIRST makes a few mistakes or cuts back every now and then. Personally, I'm just glad I have the opportunity to be in this program. - Crop-Circles [more]

Hmm, looking on DISHNetwork I see NASA channel, that's the same one I'd get if I cranked up the big ole' C-Band isn't it?

I was looking to start a team for my college for next year, but they got hooked up with a local JR High school doing BEST Robotics competition. Has anyone heard of this?
I was previously on the Technokats from 1998- 2002.

Kickoff for DISH Network is channel 213 NASA TV.
(No oval dish required, that would be for Direct TV only - I think)

Yes, I have done this before, and taped kickoff for the last couple years and plan on doing the same thing again this year!!! lol

Oh and BTW, I just checked and NASA TV on DISH Network is about 10 seconds AHEAD of the video feed on the NASA TV webcast.... which is located here:
http://www.nasa.gov/ram/35037main_portal.ram

I will know the future before all of you do!!!

(BTW, This is NOT the link that is active now on the page that FIRST gave out, that page has the kickoff from 2003 still there with Will Smith getting all jiggy with it in the intro!! )

But, I do believe that this link will replace that one in time.

(Hey look at that, I see Mr. Dave Lavery on NASA TV!! )

Direct TV requires the oval dish and a multi-switch receiver. Channel 376 in my area.

It's kind of ironic that NASA TV and RFD network share the same band-width.
