Re: 2004 Kit of Parts

From a software aspect, the 2004 controller should be nearly identical. The differences are listed in the programming guide on innovation FIRST's website. As far as outward appearance, I believe it will be a very similar shape/size to last year, although the layout of the input/output connectors and such will be moved around a bit. Either way, it will be revealed saturday (I dont think personally there would be any need to release images and such ahead of time). So the only real information required would be the programming system, which is nearly identical to the EDU-bot you received after your registration was paid. I believe that if backups are needed they will probably be sold through innovation first with information that will be provided in the huge manual you get saturday. At least I am pretty sure that it will include instructions for ordering a replacement if yours breaks down for some reason.

Last year I believe it came under the category of "kit parts replacement" which meant contacting FIRST via phone. Here is an excerpt from the 2003 manual:

Quote:
Technical issues, playing field construction information, game rules, and kit parts replacement /
after listing the phone number to call.

In the end, I am as excited as you are, but we just have to wait and see for Saturday to come, and all will be made clear
