FYI
The new iPod has a 1-inch Hitachi Drive. These things retail for $400, so getting it into a $249 iPod isn't bad. I personally think they should have stayed with the cheaper 1.8in drive or even cheaper laptop hard drives to cut the cost down to $100 to $150. The original ipod is small enough, it really doesn't need to be smaller.
