1,636 Holes and Counting.

I've been pretty silent these days and you know why.

AHhhhh! My hands hurt. We've already killed 1 out of our 4 drill presses. We've got burnt fingers, wounded hands, bloody eyes, and a robot swiss cheesed to the max.

Rome was not built in a day. Good luck to all teams, struggling and tired, during our last weekend stretch.

Lets see...

In the last 24 hours, I have worked 8, worked on the robot for 7, broke for dinner, worked on the robot for 5 more, broke for breakfast, worked for 3 more hours, then came back home. The good news is that we just might be able to make weight without cutting any subsystems.

We managed to be only 5-7 lbs overweight. So far we haven't had to take any major parts off. Good luck to all of you who weighed in a lot over 130.

Well, in case of our team our robot happened to be the right weight....but:0 we made few holes in the wrong place so (yeah...erm, *few*) we registered them as lightening holes. I certainly hope that "more than 20" count as "few"

ahhhh....no sleep for days!! and still problems!

Well, I have worked a 26 hour build session. Yess, 26 hours straight. Right now We still are having major prolems with the drive train. We had a gear box with the mighty chia's and the drill motors, but the gears stripped. Unfortunately we used brass instead of steal or cast-iron. Has this happened to anyone? On a good note, our worm-driven goal grabber arms are really powerful and robust. They could be dropped off a cliff.

No, that sounds like a very unique problem of yours; I'm sure that hasn't happened to anybody else. No sirree, I can certainly not think of any other teams that happened to. Definitely none I know of
