Re: Help with the balls!

is the problem that you dont know where to get them, or is the problem that Palo wont ship to Brazil?

the post I snarfed below has the people who sell them - Is this what you need?

The ball we need to order is the
10089 ball, or "ball2" in my above post.

Call this number: 1-800-233-5484 and talk to Jessica.

I strongly suggest that you have your team's main contact call FIRST. I'm sure that, for a limited number of international teams, they can ship the balls to you.

In the long run, you will be doing yourselves a favor in that FIRST must understand that field and "allowed material" components must be readily available to all teams.

Put another way, if a supplier is unwilling to support international teams, they should not be a FIRST supplier...

Re: Help with the balls!

Thanks for the help! I've called and sent an e-mail, I'm waiting for their answer, to know if it would be possible for them to ship the balls to Brazil. I'm waiting, if the answer is negative I'll get in touch with FIRST, let's give them a chance but for sure I strongly agree with you: "...if a supplier is unwilling to support international teams, they should not be a FIRST supplier..."

Re: Help with the balls!

I would call the FIRST office and ask for team support. Explain the problem and see if they can solve the problem. Afterall, if they want international teams they need to make the effort in support.

I think the real problem aside from shipping may be the currancy exchange.

Re: Help with the balls!

The guys from 388 are helping us now. For our recent experience with the first kop and stuff, the main problem is the international taxes. For every package that exceeds 50 dollars, we have to pay import taxes. Anyway, we'll get in touch with the FIRST office and explain everything, at least they can work in this problem to prevent it from happening again next year.

Re: Help with the balls!

Gain, I seem to be having problems with your e-mail, neither our mail server nor the CD server can deliver messages to you, is there another e-mail address I can contact? The balls will be ordered today. We just need to know how fast you want the shipping to be and if there is a prefered carrirer, ect.

Re: Help with the balls!

Gian, I received the address in which to ship the balls for your team. We will get those ordered today. Also, you mentioned that another team was in the same situation and also needed the balls. Please forward their address to us as soon as possible so we can "get the ball rolling."
