I wouldnt post something like that unless you can verify the source.

My nutrionist at my health center advised me to stop softdrinks that contain sugar, and to switch to diet drinks.

I specifically asked her about risks involved. The medical community has investigated and tested these sweetners, and there is absolutly no truth to the charges your pasted article makes.

Sugar and other 'natural' sweetners (like corn syrup) on the other hand, when consumed in large quanities, can lead to diabieties and other chronic illnesses. A 12 ounce can of soda contains TEN teaspoons of sugar. Next time you have a glass of ice tea, or a large cup of coffee, scoop 10 teaspoons of sugar into it. thats what you get in a can of non-diet pop.
