Cool tank traction vs. speed

which was more popular? (Or a combo like we did)

2 wheel direct drive

a 2 wheel direct drive is what we used with tires pretty much, it works great in most situations (i think all personally)

YAY! Poor mans? My team decided to use this transmission even though we had access to transmission engeneers! Simple on the fly shifting is great (not to mention what else you can do with lowering wheels).

Ours is a tread that has two moveable casters attached to the back end, which can lower to give us extra maneuverability.

You want awesome machined wheels?? Wait till you see the ones on our robot. Make sure to look for 151. Thanks to a few of the members on our team who stayed after school for weeks to work on these beauties. Made out of 6" stock aluminum, milled to a beautiful resinance. Awesome non-slipping tread, actually part of the wheel, and no carpet damage! These work wonderfully!

Estimated cost if we had them machined by someone else: $3500.

Estimated potential labor costs: $1000.

The look on all of your faces when you see our wheels: Priceless.

Thank you Tyler, Tim, Aaron, Chris, Chris, and anyone else i may have forgotten!

i don't understand, so the csters come out whenever you want to turn, or do you have them on a switch that you push when you want to get to a certain position in a hurry?
