3 Questions!!! (1/27/04)

Hi all,

Here are today's 3 Questions...

1. In 1999, what New Hampshire team had the ability to tilt the puck?

2. Who won the 1998 National Championship and who was the runner up?

3. What was the first year that "Bumpers" were allowed?

1. Don't know.

2. TechnoKats won, Naval Undersea Warfare Center was runner up.

3. 2000. Came as a response to the beatings that robots were taking as a result of the "King of the Puck" fights in 1999.

2. 45 won and 121 came in second (broken link ). Just as a side note those finals was on ESPN, I still have the tape somewhere.

3. 2000. Most teams didn't have them though. And if memory recalls some judges didn't knew about it either.

I'm STILL looking for a good picture of 95 tipping the puck. I've heard it was the coolest thing.

Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?

Actually the best picture you could probably find would be from River Rage. Though im not sure if it was 95 or WPI who was tipping the puck during the round, but one of those teams had the puck at a near 30° angle with Assabet sitting on top absolutely straight with the ground because of their articulating wheels. Amazing.

Yep, I've heard of it... haven't seen it!

So who's got it?
