New Jersey - Weather forecasts

We´re making all our travel preparations, such as "trying" to guess what the weather will be at March in NJ. I´ve looked in weather.com for historical averages... but nothing is as good as a forecast from someone who lives in the area.

So, will it be could in March? Will it snow? What are the hints that you guys can give us?

Re: New Jersey - Weather forecasts

Indeed, in the Mid Atlantic area it is very unpredictiable. Especially at that time of year - we have had blizzards, and it has been 60+F degrees. I would watch the weather online, and see what the patterns are, and just plan as the time approaches. You should be able to plan on cold mornings and nights no matter what the days may bring.

Re: New Jersey - Weather forecasts

think cold - early march, perhaps 40's (F) but, could be 30 and snowing, could be 60 as my fellow jersey folks said. i would prepare for cold to be certain.....

You'll need heavy jackets, lightweight jackets, gas masks and other various means of oxygen supplements. Just kidding about the gas masks and all, they won't help. Our air here is too potent for them to work. But do plan for diverse weather, from cold to moderate.

Re: New Jersey - Weather forecasts

May I suggest that next year you choose the Arizona Regional. Not only is it a great regional, but the weather is also great. Last year we had to stop the competition at one point so that everyone could run outside and see a cloud float by.

Re: New Jersey - Weather forecasts

We chose J&J regional because of the transfer and travel facilites (near NYC), plus we know a lot of teams and have a lot of friends, and plus team 1382 will be there to help us and we´ll be there to help them.

But in the next years we intend to go to other places.

A final question, what are the odds of snowing in the first week of march? Percentage?

Re: New Jersey - Weather forecasts

I'd lay odds against snow, perhaps 3:1. Anthony, from team 25, I don't know about your air in North Brunswick, but mine in East Brunswick is very nice. New Jersey is a great state, and anyone who dumps on it, better be ready to deal with me

Everyone is forgetting that this is the northeast! It could be anywhere from -10 to 75!!! I'd suggest dressing warm though. You're better off being warm than cold.

Re: New Jersey - Weather forecasts

It's hard to predict what the weather is going to be in a months time. By the way the North East has been lately, I would suggest dressing warmly, looking at temperatures probably between 40F-60F, but it's still a month away. This is based on how the winter and weather have been recently though.

Re: New Jersey - Weather forecasts

You want to know what the weather in March in New Jersey will be like?

The weather on any day in NJ is directly related to the digit of pi which corresponds to the date on which this said weather is required.

Actually, like people above said, it could be cold, and there is a small chance of snow (we have actually had snow as late as April, if i remember right). However, knowing March, there will be plenty of wind. It will be cold. Heavy jackets are recommended, along with gloves and hats (just in case).

And btw, I second what Mr.Holton said - NJ is truly amazing - We have a town named Brick right next to a town named Wall. And we have Double Trouble.
