joystick cost accounting: differing answers from FIRST

Q: I understand that we can use any joystick we want. If we so choose to purchase a new joystick, do we document the purchase under $3500 or $400 limit or not at all.
A: $3,500.

Q: For switches or joysticks on the contol box, do they go against the $3500 or the $400.?
A: If they are on the Operator Interface (OI), you do not have to account for their costs.

Just an FYI for those who are buying other joysticks. I expect that the second answer will be the final answer, but keep an eye out, or ask FIRST yourself if you are buying extra joysticks.
