Re: The Ever-Crazy Mac vs. PC debate
I personally prefer Macs, although I use PCs as well (and more obscure systems too). My computer collection at the moment consists of an iMac G4 (the flat panel
), an iBook, and an IBM server-class Pentium pro machine. I use all three, but the iMac primarily. Mac OS X 10.3 is a solid operating system that I've found to be much more secure and easy to use than any Windows box I've used. Yes, Windows has come a long way, but I think it still has a ways to go.Other operating systems I'm used to include Solaris - which takes the power underlying Mac OS X (UNIX), and marries it in this case under CDE for a GUI that is so-so. So there's my stance ![]() I've used Macs since System 6 (early '90s), and Windows since 3.11 for Workgroups. Solaris is recent ![]() |
