We built ours at the high school machine shop. We had plenty of room.
We practice at an old Target department store. We got a free lease donated
It's located about 100 yds away from the school. In fact, the back of the store is against the school parking lot. Also there was carpeting on the floor already.
For other teams that don't have a good place to practice, this is worth looking into.
