Re: pic: MAK 211 robot

Do you think the whiteboard counts as an official robot? We might have to cut it down to fit the dimensions.

Remarkabley, our robot looks almost exactly like the picture posted here. I took this picture a very long time ago (~3-4 weeks ago). I will post our actual robot pictures tomorrow (when I find my camera).

We had three sets of arms on our robot. We mistakenly kept referring to them by the wrong names (sometimes we would call the middle set the top arms or even the bottom arms). This lead to a high number of arguments over how to do them which we finally realized we were talking about completely different things. So we named each set. The top set was named John, the middle set was named Sally and poor old Sam sat at the bottom. Unfortunately, Sam was a weight casualty. We also didn't have time, but more so because of weight.

It's much easier to learn and practice when you do things on the board, then when you just talk outloud and punch things into a calculator.

Re: pic: MAK 211 robot

More importantly for us, it is much easier to go back and change things quickly and know exactly how you got to what numbers.
