LED's gone wacky

For the past few days my team has been practicing w/ our bot. And over those few days we have seen the team LED's do some strange things. For instance....Blinking both red and blue at the same time, solid blue while blinking red, Blue stops working (on one LED).

So i was wondering, any other teams have problems w/ the team LED's do strange things that thier not suppose to?

Re: LED's gone wacky

We are having similar luck with two of our LEDs. One won't show blue at all and one shows blue even when the red is on. Ordering a couple of replacements for what seems to be faulty equipment.

Team 57 has seen the same things happening. I don't know whether this is not "supposed" to happen. FIRST will be in control of the colors at competitions, so we shouldn't have to worry about anything.

Re: LED's gone wacky

ours were flashing all kinds of weird things when we were testing it at school...but they all worked correctly at the UTC Scrimmage...i might suggest that you somehow attach the lens covers better than they are when they come...they seem to fall off really easily in competition.

Re: LED's gone wacky

We wondered the same thing. The light colors are controlled by your radio channel. With no radio signal, they will flash both red and blue. With channel 40 (default), they will be red. There are two other red channels and two other blue channels. As long as they are plugged in, you can make them flash whatever color you want be changing the channels. There is information on how to change the channel on innovationfirst.com I believe.
